Is it all about bhp and torque? Although bhp gives you an idea of the power output, it is not the be all and end all of tuning. Drivability is also very important. There’s no point in massive of power and torque if you can’t drive it. We consider all the factors of driving when writing a remap so the car feels great to drive. HOW IS ECU REMAPPING DONE

MH Diagnostics Mobile Mechanic Bristol uses what is regarded as the best ECU remapping equipment available on the market. These ECU remap tools are the most trusted in the trade. We don’t use anything to remap your vehicle that we wouldn’t use to remap our own.
First thing we do before carrying out any ECU remap is diagnostic checks. There’s no point in us trying to remap a faulty vehicle. If there any faults we can follow it up with some data logging to try and identify the cause of the fault. Fault codes stored are not always an issue and can be cleared easily.
We then read the original software from your ecu. This software contains many maps which can then be altered. We always keep a back up of original software taken from vehicles.
Once we are happy with the adjustments we then upload the new software to the ecu.
All remapping we do is carried out in the least intrusive method possible. This is not always possible but we will always tell you if the ecu needs to be opened.
